Writing
2017 - Present
Since 2017 I have written on the art world, mainly in interviews with artists and curators, and reviews of exhibitions. I began this practice not because I see myself as the next Lucy Lippard or Roberta Smith (even though that would be pretty cool) but rather because I love art, I believes in the work of so many artists, see how important and necessary their work is and know that it needs to be seen. Through my writing I act as one small lens into the art world that most may never encounter. My writing is an extension of my art practice and personal philosophy - we are all living archives and we each have seen, witnessed and been a part of events that need to be remembered from multiple viewpoints. Moments of brilliance, grief, triumph, personal and communal loss; all with the art world at its epicenter. And so I add my voice to this ongoing initiative, and I hope my voice doesn't make your ears bleed too much.
